About
Nemmadi is a non-profit organization registered in Bengaluru in 2006. It was promoted by a team of professionals with vast experience in development sector.
The word “Nemmadi” means peace in the south Indian languages Kannada and Tamil. Nemmadi is the most elusive thing for most of the people and the nations; but it is the most sought after among us.
When we formed “Nemmadi”, our vision was to achieve this peace for the poor, marginalized people who are the victims of unrest, unjust and unequal societies. But, peace is not absence of violence alone. It should emanate from the power they enjoy in terms of health, knowledge, money and position. Thus, what Nemmadi envisions is a society where there are people who have power and also peace within themselves and in the society where they live. It is a rare blend. It is tough job. We are at it.

Welcome to Nemmadi!
