Lake renovation
With the support of Alternative Development Initiatives (ADI) and PepsiCo, we have renovated three lakes in Nelamangala and trained farmers and women groups as part of Sustainable Water Resource Management programme.

River rejuvenation
Kumudvathi river rejuvenation campaign and rallies organised in Bangalore Rural District with the support of ADI.

Women power
Nemmadi brings women together in Self Help Groups in their respective villages to come together, interact, pool their savings and mobilise funds from bank to undertake income generation activities. On Mahila dina (women's day) they assemble in Nemmadi to enjoy the day, every year.

Knowledge is power
Nemmadi facilitates the women in the villages to gain knowledge, skills and awareness on a regular basis. Sometimes, they sit in a classroom to attend classes!

Adolescent girl children camps
Eight camps were organized for about 450 adolescent girl children between January and March 2009 in Nelamangala Taluk by Nemmadi. Each camp was attended by about 50 girl children between 12 and 18 years.

Skill training for women
Nemmadi organises regular skill training programmes for the women in the project area. The members of women Self Help Groups utilise the opportunity to improve their entrepreneurial and group management capacities. The linkage to bank credit makes their small business grow. ADI has been our partner to facilitate many of these trainings.
